PMS + drama = nightmare

Question Posted Thursday April 24 2008, 6:16 pm

13/f

I was unpset at school today. and my best friend wanted to know what was wrong with me. I told her not to worry about it. But she saw that I was really upset. She told me that she would get really mad at me if i didn't tell her what was wrong. I told her that I don't think that her and her boyfriend make a good couple and that i think that she deserves a LOT better. Well she got mad at me and said that i like to start drama for fun. Of course I don't like starting drama. If I would have thought drama was fun I would have told her right off the bat. So what should I do?
Should I be her friend or what?

Yeah, let's totally ditch you "best" friend because she got angry with you over you insulting her boyfriend.

1) She shouldn't have put her feelings before yours when asking to know what was wrong with you.

2) You shouldn't just bail on someone for one small thing.

Come on, you guys are acting like you're 13 years old. Oh wait...

well honestly, she seems like a TERRIBLE friend! i mean, if something was bothering MY friend, i know i would NEVER say, "i'll get mad at you if you don't tell me!" and i know my friends would say something like, "if it makes you uncomfortable, you don't have to tell me. but just remember, i'm always here for you if you need to talk."

ugh, and then she goes and gets mad at you? she doesn't deserve you as a friend.

it's so sad that you ended up telling her that she and her boyfriend don't make a good couple cause she deserves better. -- she has a right to be upset with you because in the end, it is her choice, although you did mean it as a compliment.

in any case, try talking to her, tell her you're sorry, be comforting. don't openly say you're mad at her -- it'll cause more drama. if she's being mean and won't talk to you, just give her time if you still want to be her friend.

but i hate people like that. what kind of friend is she? she might have been a good friend in the past but look. you're only 13. find someone who can be a real friend to you unless things work out between you guys...

Of couse you should still be her friend. I think that you should explain the reasons why you don't want her with her boyfriend. Now if you don;t have any reasons you should probably just respect her decison. I hope everything works out. Please let me know and don't hesitate to write back.
