My hair is pin straight. How can i do this without a curling ironer?

You can do this with a 1" flat iron.

But here, it looks like she braided her hair. After you wash your hair, put a little mousse in it, then braid it while it's still a little wet, but not too wet, I'd say like 50% dry. If it's too wet then it'll never dry on the inside. You should do this before you go to bed so you can take them out when you wake up. Also, the longer you leave the braids in, the longer the curl will hold.
