Dating an older guy? Is it okay that I'm dating someone who's not the same age as me? I really like them.

Absolutely. Age is only a number and it really shouldn't influence your decision when you're deciding who to date. Granted, you shouldn't be with a 30 year old guy at the age of, say, 14. That's just strange, and what would you have in common.
But three years or less between you? I wouldn't even think twice about it. If you're interested in someone, it shouldn't matter if their birthday occurred a year before yours, right?
I often see/hear the argument "An older guy only dates a younger girl for sex". This is completely untrue. Sure, there's some guys out there who might do that. But you could just as easily find someone your own age who could do the same thing! So if they have good intentions and YOU want to date them, go for it! There ARE guys who want more than a physical relationship ;]
Example: My boyfriend is a year older than me, I'm sixteen. I'm with him because I want to be. He's an amazing guy who respects me. My parents fully approve of him, and when I asked if our age difference mattered to them, they told me what I've said previously: "He's a nice guy who respects you, and a year isn't much at all"
In other words, don't let other people's opinions influence how you feel. It's up to you.
