is this weird?

Question Posted Thursday April 17 2008, 4:11 pm

hi. 16/f.

i swim in the fall and play softball in the spring. i've had my period for about 4 years now, and it's pretty regular. for some reason, i noticed that during the spring and fall, when i'm involved in a sport, i don't get my period. is this weird? or is it just something about sports that stops your cycle?

thank you :)

Nope, its not weird at all. I play lacrosse and soccer, so my period changes all the time. For some people it will just be lighter when they are physically active, and for some it will even stop completly.

being active and playing sports can make you get your period lighter or make it go away faster and i guess some people dont get it when their active. yeah its pretty normal. i get mine really light when i excersise. hope i helped!
