aim on chocolate phone

i have a verizon chocolate phone with aim on it. ive tried siging in on my screen name countless times, and it wont work. i know im typing in everything right, but it wont work. i can sign in on my sisters screen name and any of my friends screen names though. why cant i sing in on my screen name and what can i do to make it so i can sign in?

Try dialing *228
And then, press one when it asks you what number.
Your phone will reset. It will fix most problems with your phone. Otherwise, ask your company. But that's what they told me to do when my AIM didn't work.

Well one thing you should check is that you're not logged on to aim on a computer.
If you're not, I suggest you make a new account.
