you are probably casuing breakage in your hair when your scrunching it. try using a different scrunching gel (i like curls rocks by tigi) and to get rid of frizziness i would get a deep conditioning treatment, if you dont want to spend the money for one at a salon (about $30, depending on which salon) then you can buy a deep conditioner at a drug store. also you can buy anti frizz serums (i like after party by bed head) or pomades and waxes to smooth the frizz down

Try washing your hair with anti-frizz shampoo and conditioner (Im not sure where you live or if you can buy this but I always use Frizz-ease by John Frieda).

Try not to put products on your hair but If you need to try the John Frieda ones. They are specially made to tame frizz and it really does work.

Hope this helps
