What the hell..?

Me and this guy have been getting closer and closer over the past few weeks.
We hug a lot, and he always hangs around with me.
I just found out that he's got a girlfriend (not in our school) and I feel..torn.
Like neither of us has implied that there's something going on between us. We do flirt, but I'm not sure how I feel about him..and it seems to be the same for him.

How can I feel better about this though? I feel torn apart, but I'm not in love with him or anything.
any help`?

btw.
He knows that I know that he has a girlfriend, and he's still like he was before.
Nothings changed.
He'd never cheat on a girlfriend either.
Also, usually when I see him for the first time in the day, we give each other a kiss on the cheek, and when we're saying bye to each other at the end of the day, but it's moved from cheek to lip corners.
I'm just wondering whether you guys think that he does like me, but he also likes girl girlfriend.
I mean a lot of people were asking me and him ''soo, are you going out with _____ yet?'' and when we've said no then they've said ''you're still not going out!?!?''
So I'm assuming people think we should be together...

it seems to me..he does like you..but if he has a gf and is giving u hugs and kisses..maybe he doesnt care too much about the relationship he is in now..and i would also be worried about..if he hasnt already cheated on his gf..he could just be having problems in the relationship ..i would talk to him and let him know that u dont wanna be lead on..and if theres really anything going on between you 2

I would just ask him what's going on. He shouldn't be kissing your lip corners and hugging you if he is in a committed relationship. Tell him upfront that you thought you had something going on but it's weird for him to be acting the way he does when he has a girlfriend.
