Ok, well I've been hearing some talk about Final Fantasy the game. Well first what is it about? I'm thinking that I should get into it also but I heard that they have a Final Fantasy 12 already, so I really don't want to like waste money by buying the whole series starting from 1. So does anyone care by filling me in on what's it like and recommend which ones from 1-12 that I should get and that can also help me understand the whole story of it? Would Final Fantasy umm Chrisis..something be a good choice? I heard it's 7 years before Final Fantasy 7 so does it mean it's 1-7 combined?

Basically, your main character has GFs (Guardian Forces) that help you in battle. As you battle, you get EX and AP (Ability Points). You can also get magic to use against your enemies. As the game goes on, people join you, so you can have more people to fight with. Like every other RP game, you have to save your world from evil.
FF8-"The plot focuses on a group of young mercenaries who seek to prevent a sorceress from manipulating an international war. It was the first game in the series to consistently use realistically proportioned characters, and feature a vocal piece as its theme music."
FF10- "The story focuses on the protagonists trying to defeat a rampaging force known as Sin. Final Fantasy X introduced fully three-dimensional areas and voice acting to the series, and it was the first to spawn a direct sequel"
If you would like to know more about the different games, check out this website, which will give you a brief description of all games. After that, you can decide which ones you would like to purchase. Also keep in mind that to play one final fantasy doesn't mean you have to play the others before it. For example, I've been playing FF8 since 6th grade. I am now in 11th Grade. I had had no previous experience with final fantasy, but each game has it's own different plot.
