Okay, so when I was in eighth grade I found this book that I really loved. It was a romance, one of those forbidden love things for teens and I really want to find it again. Here is what I remember:
There is a girl whose family is basically been feuding with another family that they're somewhat related to for years now. The girl's dad has gone to jail for killing one of that other family. The girl lives in a small piece of land. Her mom sends her to school on that other family's land, so she has to change her last name so they don't know she's from that family (Malone, Monroe, something like that). She meets a boy while reading (I think the boy is drawing her) and they start to go out. He is the son of the man her dad killed. She keeps her family from him, and him from her family. She finds a diary of the woman who started the whole feud. And there was this big thing about the boy giving her a golden bracelet with a heart on it.
Does anyone know the title and author of this book? It'll be much appreciated, thank you in advance.
