when im with my close friends im all weird and crazy and really loud and i have a good time. but when im with other people im all quiet and stuff and just in the corner. im kinda okay with it but i want to be the way i am with my close friends with other people. if you get wht im trying to say. yupp =]
what i would do, would not be to suddenly go from shy/quiet girl to wacky/insane girl, or people will think something is wrong with you lol. and you might not be ready for such a drastic change. you have to take it slowly, maybe pledge to yourself "okay, today i will make 3 non-close friends laugh" or "today i will participate more in classes" gradually you will get more outgoing around people that aren't your friends. and remember, outgoing does NOT always equal WACKY CRAZY IN YOUR FACE MAKE EVERYBODY LAUGH!! because that is just annoying.
dont forget to listen to your true feelings and have self-respect for yourself and demand respect from others during the process or you will end up lost and you will forget who you really are.
Holly22co answered Tuesday April 8 2008, 11:05 am: im kinda that way myself, but it all has to do with confidence. your obviously comfortable and confident when your with your friends, you just need to be like that around everyone. trust me, youll come off as more interesting; a leading-persons type, if you will. you dont have to be crazy and loud, because sometimes that can be inturrpreted as annoying or immature to people who dont actually know you. just smile, be friendly, make comments or jokes. start a conversation with someone; ask questions. ask for help with something (a for sure convo starter.) just have fun wherever you go, and keep your high confidence; itll show! -ali 16/f [ Holly22co's advice column | Ask Holly22co A Question ]
