I was watching "True Hollywood Story" on Laci Peterson and could not finish watching and now I'm curious. If a man killed a woman who was pregnant but he did not know that the woman he killed was pregnant, would he be still accounted for double murder or a single murder?

It depends on the judge and the jury. Though either way they are going to look at the fact that a pregnant woman was killed. [ Mareesey's advice column | Ask Mareesey A Question ]

It may have something to do with how far along
a woman is, I'm not 100% sure. Scott Peterson
was charged with both his wife and unborn son.
whether or not he knows the woman is pregnant
or not doesn't matter, hes still gonna pay for
it. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
