what is a minor in college? how is it diff from a major?

A minor is a smaller or secondary choice for academic specialization that requires fewer courses or credits than a major.

A major is what subject you are mainly focused on.

The primary difference is the amount of credits/courses you take for both. Major is far more important then your minor. A major is the subject you are mainly focused on and a minor is the secondary choice for your future that requires fewer courses/credits then a major.
