Ok I'm in 8th grade and this boy I have been crushing on for awhile now has been talking to me as usual but I think he thinks of me more as a friend. I talk to him and we joke around and I am just confused on what to do. I know you hear these kind of things a lot but please help. I only have one class with him and thats the only time we usually talk. He asks me if he can borrow stuff and he has a nickname kinda thing for me. My school is year round so last trimester he use to always come up to me and leave his friends to talk to me. It seemed like he wanted to get to know me. But now it seems different. I mean we still talk but I think he doesn't like me the same way. I think he may like one of my other friends but I can't be sure. I can't really tell what my question is though. I just need advice on what I should do. Thanks so much.

If he talks to you all the time he likes
you. 13 being a little young for "real"
dating I'm going to guess that he just
isn't ready for the boyfriend/girlfriend
thing right yet. Now is the time to make
friends with those who might be more to
you in the future. He may like your friend
too.
Continue to talk to him and be friendly.
He does like you, so you already have an
advantage! If a movie comes along you would
like to see, ask mom if you can bring a
friend along and see if he'd like to go
with you. Not as a "date" really, just
friends going to a movie. It might get
him thinking more seriously about the two
of you. :)

Personally I think 13 is to young to date but in your case it seems like for now he just wants to be friends and maybe thats what you need first then if your both ready start a relationship
