You answered my question about...

Question Posted Thursday March 27 2008, 1:05 am

wanting to get my bellybutton pierced. I really liked your advice. I should like my tummy before I add extra. But, what are things I can do, and like, stuff I should eat [I don't really eat that much] to help me lose weight? Like, I want to lose my tummy, but, I kinda want to keep my butt, and like, my thighs, because my boyfriend is pretty fond of them, and I kinda am too, and, I dunno, I just wanna keep them, so, will excersizing like, running and stuff, and dieting like, make them go away? I don't want to lose weight, and have a nice flat tummy and stuff, but then have like, no curves lol. Thanks! :]

Ok well any sort of cardio will burn calories and help you loose weight, but if you are not looking for weight loss I would recommend this.

Focus mainly on your core( this is your upper and lower abs, along with your obliques) Not only will this tone your abs, but build up strengh becuase your core is your main source of power. If you belong to a gym like LIFETIME or other sport clubs, there is a section of free weights designed for your abs. I would give that a try. If you don't belong to a gym don't worrie. There are plently of ways to still get a good toning workout. I would possibly google core toning. This way you will find excersises that don't focus directly on one area and neglect the others.

I would also say that to achieve results you might wanna still do cardio of some sort. Maybe a jog or workout video. This will get your body warm before you tone.

As for the diet, I would just continue eating a healthy balanced diet. Its common sense that if you are trying to work on your body and still eating fatty foods, you will not accomplish anything. I went to a heath foods store and found meals that I could eat everyday that. I eat a cereal each moring that fills me up and is good for you. Also make attention to the labels. Sure it might only say that the bag of chips has 100 calories, but if there are 3 serving sizes within the bag, it then turns into 300 calories.

I believe that if you focus on your core, along with some smaller cardio, watch what you eat and try to cut out the unnessary calories(pop: so many calories and actually really easy to give up) you should be able to achieve results.

Also don't fret if you don't see result right away. How it works is by loosing weight, and toning your abs, thats when it will show.

I hoped this helped and best of luck! I know you will do great. Message me back if you have any more questions, I would love to help!
