They go into the vagina smoother and easier than the cardboard ones. Plus, the cardboard ones just hurt! And, if you are still confused, read the instructions in the box. Don't worry, with practice, inserting tampons will become easier. Oh, another thing, there are many positions you can use. Personally, I like to stay sitting on the toilet and spread my legs, but you need to experiment and see which position you are most comfortable with. get the extra-light ones with an easy applicator and lie down on the floor and relax.
its the only hole it fits into, you cant really go wrong.
great step-by-step inctructions from E-how...
1. remove the tampon from the wrapper.
2. Slide the applicator a few inches into the vagina (tampon side in), but not so far that you can't hold the outer of the two tubes that make up the applicator.
3. Push the inner tube into the outer tube, releasing the tampon into the vagina.
4. Slide the applicator out.
5. make sure the string is hanging out and that its in comftorbly . if not, push it farther up with your finger. when its in properly you wont feel it.
6. wrap the applicator in the paper and throw it away.
here are some links that might help you get one in easier
