Two months ago, I thinned my hair out to about half the mass that it was, horribly dumb choice but whatever. Now my hair is greasy halfway into the day, its so annoying. I stopped using conditioner to make it look nicer, but it still gets pretty nasty around late afternoon. How can I get it to stay cleaner longer?
person43 answered Wednesday March 26 2008, 8:05 pm: you already made a good choice to skip the conditioner. Some shampoos, especially ones that are shampoo+conditioner in one make your hair oily as well. Try experimenting with other shampoos to see how they work on your hair. Also, it really really helps to not wash your hair everyday. washing frequently strips the hair of its natural oils, tricking it to produce more oil. it may take days or sometimes a couple weeks, but your hair will get accustomed to not producing so much oil if you wash it less frequently.
