converting
I took a video on my camera, and I want to put it into my windows movie maker but it is not the right file type. Is there any way to change it into a 'video file' even tho it is already a video? thank you!

It is able to convert from and to most formats. You probably want to convert to Windows Media Video(wmv). You can change that in the "video" tab. All other settings will be automatically adjusted to what it thinks are the best values.
If media coder doesn't work:
If your video isn't in avi format, change it to the format it's in.
