It will be healed enough to not look like it was just pierced and raw, but you aren't technically supposed to change the ring until at least 6 months after having it.

I changed mine after one month though. If you clean the piercing well, it heals alright, and it isn't hurting you, I don't see the problem in changing your piercing while at Europe.

It doesn't hurt at all. And I honestly mean that. But ears hurt ten times as bad as my belly button. I was expecting a seriously painful experience, and it didn't hurt at all =]

You aren't supposed to get in the beach water for precaution reasons, but after a few weeks, I don't see how it could hurt to bad. Just clean it really good with Dial soap after swimming.

Coming from someone who has it done. It doesn't hurt at all. I got my top and bottom done. and they both felt like little bee stings. Maybe not even that. It will hurt to bend down but I went to gymnastics the day after getting it and I was fine. You can go to the beach with it. The salt water is actual good for it. But make sure to clean it with what they give you every time your done in the water. It should be okay to change by the end of June. I changed my both early. Whatever you do, don't swim in a lake, that got mine badly infected. And don't clean it with rubbing alcohol if it does get infected. It will like eat your infected skin. Trust me haha. Any more questions feel free to ask! =D

woww lucky! how did you convince them? i want mine done.. my friends have told me that it doesnt hurt very much. it just hurts a little bit for like a second. and then its done. and dont you think its definetly worth it? i think you have to stay out of the beach water for like a month or so...ask the guy that pierces it. i would get it done as soon as possible. unless you really have to wait until april to do it. <33
