MACCCSSS how do i delete double files?
i had problems with my mac and the tech preformed an archive and install and now i have double from everything alot of apps that don't work and no more scratch disk!!!
what should i do???
help...
i deleted the previous systems file (thought that would help after i removed all my docs and stuff) and now i have stuff on my home disk and stuff on my mac drive (the home icon and the hardisk icon) that are almost identical .... i also can't open user files from the home drive which use to be in my old system... any ideas?!?!?!
i downloaded omnidisksweeper and i am waiting to see how that turns out...

Most of the time, you'll want to delete the files with the longer path. For example, /etc/app1 is probably a good folder that you want to keep. /usr/you/backup/app1 is probably the duplicate.
You shouldn't be deleting things if you don't know what they are, though. ]
