Hey. Well, I'm 14/f. So I'm going to have to start saving my money, and kinda quick. See, I've been saving coins (pennies, quarters, dimes, ect.) for my family's vacation this coming summer, so when we go shopping I have a lot of money to shop with. And then I take my coins to the bank and they turn it into cash. Also, I've been saving money for my trip to Ireland for next summer, so I have money to shop with there also. I get $10 each weekend for allowance, and I've been taking $5 of that back for Ireland. But heres my problem. Yesterday, my iPod broke, so now I have to save up for a new one! I'm soo mad about that. Well, my parents said they would pay for half of my iPod. Well, I'm a HUGE shopaholic. Like, I always want new clothes and stuff. I always get my clothes on sale, but still, it's like an addiction :). My parents said that if I started doing even more stuff around the house, they would give me money, so that takes some of my problem away, because I'll use that money to save for my iPod. But how am I supposed to save money for this summers vacation, trip for Ireland next summer, new iPod, and a little shopping here and there???? Please don't tell me to get a job because I'm not into that right now at my age. I would be willing to babysit, but I don't really have anyone to babysit. So please, help! I want my iPod within the next 2-3 months. Thanks!

get a couple of jars (or containers)
label the jar based on what that money is to be used for, so everytime you get money distribute it into the jars
for example
there could be a jar for
-random spending money (candy bar, chips, random stuff)
-vacation money (ireland)
-saving money (just there in case you are in need of extra cash)
-spending money (ipod)
have different jars like this. so everytime you get money put 50% of it in the vacation one, 20% in ipod one, 20% extra, and 10% in spending
this will help you save up and wil add up too.
ps base the percentages on what you thin kis most important (i just gave an example)
