what is the best business major that pays well? i might be considering out of these: accounting, finance, international business(im chinese), or marketing..
That being said, the others have a different sort of potential. You will never rise to become CEO of a multinational corporation as an accountant. There you need to have solid management skills and a broader experience base. Similarly, if one looks at entrepreneurship, there again one sees a path with very high potential and even greater risks.
So, with a degree in something like accounting I believe you will be safer, you will have an easier time finding a job and you will earn more in the early stages. With international business and marketing your path is far less clear and you can take it in many directions. There is virtually no bottom or top limit on what you might earn with those degrees. I definitely believe that in the hands of a very ambitious and capable person they have more long term potential, but this may just be my opinion.
Now, I would sooner look at what you like to study. For example, in my case, I detest accounting. I would sooner bang my head into the wall than balance a balance sheet. On the other hand I always found international business, marketing, strategy and so on fascinating. The choice for me was easy enough.
It might be harder for you, but I would really consider the fact that you might end up working with these subjects for most of your life. Pick something that you find at least somewhat interesting or even a bit fun. It will also improve the quality of your work.
