Question Posted Sunday March 9 2008, 7:16 pm

I'm going sometime to get a test for food allergies. What do they do and how many days after will you know the results?

Additional info, added Sunday March 9 2008, 10:23 pm:
I've been tested before last year for mold, dust, etc. So, I know what that test was like. Is food allergy testing the same as what they do for that?.

Yep, what jenny said, but also make sure that he tests for regular allergies to while he's at it just to make more use of the time, and convenience.

i went for food allergy testing last year. its really simple. this is wat happened to me... first the doctor marked my arm with the stuff he was testing for (grass, cats, dust mites etc)then she took out about 10 little needles and pricked my arm with all of them (it doesnt hurt at all). about 2 minutes later, the stuff your allergic to swells up into a bug bite sort of thing. they go away a little while afterwards, and thts it. hope ive helped.
