It's like a song stuck in my head...

Question Posted Sunday March 9 2008, 12:51 pm

15/f

so as it always starts...there is this guy that i like. A LOT. i've liked him for about 4 months now, but never actually started thinking about him until a month and a half ago. well i told him i liked him the week of valentine's day and he still hasn't gotten back to me if he likes me back or not. not only can i not stop thinking about if he does or not (b/c he really seems like he does and my friends say he's shy but you still can't tell or judge completely) but i also just can't stop thinking about him period.

how do i stop being so 'obssessed' (lack of a better word) and how do i find out if he likes me without actually asking him straight up if he does or getting a friend to do anything? (you know, cause i don't want to mess anything up.)

thanks in advance. =]

When a guy hears that a girl likes him and it comes directly from that girl, it does tend to give us the nerves and we've got to figure out how we really feel about that girl.

Now, some guys can just identify that they love that girl quickly and say what they feel. But some others take their time and ensure that what they're feeling is really for that person and this seems to be your guy. Starting a realtionship is big for guys because it could become life long or it could end in a break up and feelings hurt and guys don't like to go through that (neither do girls I'm sure!).

Let him come into his own in his own time and let him tell you his feelings directly at you, because if he passes it through a friend, it might not be the truth. Asking him directly could put pressure on him and he could say something which could make him uncomfortable or something else may happen which he may regret later.

I hope this helped,
triquetra

I think if he liked you, even if he's shy and reserved, he would have gotten back to you about it because if he is worth being with he would make something happen despite his shyness. I do not think he likes you since he hasn't put forth effort into making anything happen between you two. The way you stop thinking about him isn't as simple as the first answer I gave you. It might take some time, and the sooner you start, the better for you. Think about someone else, or something else, involve yourself with activities that will not give you time to think about him. Read or play some silly game.

Good luck
