Question Posted Wednesday March 5 2008, 5:17 pm

Okay so here it goes. I had sex with a guy two days after my period ended. We used a condom at first, then for some reason he took it off, but he pulled out. Not too long after that, I got sick (fever, becomming really tired, cough, stuffy nose.) I began running/exercising with my friend and my diet went through different changes. I was also stressed out over a guy problem I was having. I was supposed to get my period around 26-28 days after my previous one but now its been 32 days since I've had it. I know there's a possibility I could be pregnant but with all those other factors I'm trying to stay positive that my period could just be messed up. I got all my usual period signs - breakouts on my face, breasts getting bigger, mood swings. My boobs don't usually get extremly tender but for some reason now they are, which I think could mean im going to get my period soon or otherwise :/ Is it too early to take a pregnancy test and would it be worth me buying one? (they are kind of expensive) Or does it sound like all the other factors are the reason I'm not getting my period? Thanks, 16/f.

There's really no way to tell besides a pregnancy test. If you went to a free clinic, they could do it for free (if money was a concern). But it's best not to worry because worrying can make you miss a period and trick your body into displaying signs that it's pregnant.
