Disconnected answered Monday March 3 2008, 2:43 am: Erm if you meant 18 to a 2 then it would hurt a lot.
I mean, if you're gonna stretch, you should go up gauge by gauge.
Or if you meant 18 gauge and you want a 12 gauge, I would suggest wearing a 14ga first, and then a 12.
But I don't really understand what you mean.
Whatever you wanna try, don't skip gauges. [ Disconnected's advice column | Ask Disconnected A Question ]

There is a BIG difference. A standard piercing size is an 18 gauge. Generic hoops and studs are 18's, while a 2 gauge is frickin gigantic: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
Going from an 18 directly to a two would HURT. If you want to enlarge the hole, do is slowly over many months, going one gauge lower each time. I'm no expert, so if you do plan to go down drastically in gauge size do some research on how to do it properly. [ jediforhire's advice column | Ask jediforhire A Question ]
