Peeps answered Sunday March 2 2008, 6:22 pm: I'm thinking maybe you have a stomach ulcer.
The main symptom of an ulcer is a burning or gnawing feeling in the stomach (pain), lasting from 30 minutes to 3 hours.
Excessive alcohol consumption can lead to developing an ulcer so if you drink a lot (or drank a lot) that would really explain things. Alcohol can upset an ulcer sometimes so it's possible that it flares up when you begin drinking.
Ulcers can be caused from things like anti-inflammatory medications (asprin), cigarette smoking, and even stress.
Here is a good link to tell you more about ulcer symptoms and causes:
If you suspect you may have an ulcer you should definately make a doctor's appointment. I wish you luck on relieving your stomach pains. [ Peeps's advice column | Ask Peeps A Question ]
