Need Javascript code for graphic scrollbar, arrows only

Question Posted Friday February 29 2008, 10:15 pm

Can someone provide me a link to a Javascript code? I know it can be done, I had used one years ago.

I'd like a graphic scrollbar, just the arrows for an iframe. I don't want the track/face. And I'd like the arrows to not be under the content but where they used be...

I've searched for hours and can't find it. I don't have knowledge of Javascript so I can't really alter anything. I don't have time to learn it.

Hi there,

I didn't find EXACTLY what you needed, pre-written, but I have a thought:

... if you change the face and bar colors on your Javascript Scrool bar to the background colors, wouldn't that give you the desired effect?

Here is another example of a customizable Javascript scroll bar that is configured to let you edit just about every color attribute possible:

Since you mentioned using Javascript/CSS scrollbars with IFRAMES, and I couldn't find a resource that covered everything you wanted in one site, jere is an additional link which details how they work together:

But wait, there is more!

Here is a tool that will help you generate the code. I changed the appropriate scroolbar colors to "white" to match the layout of the site which hosts this custom javascript scrollbar creator, and WALLA! just what you specified:
