my girlfriend

Question Posted Monday July 21 2008, 12:46 am

hey what's up my name's chip. My question is I have a new girlfriend we have been going out for 2 weeks. I have been friends with her for 5 years though and we have hooked up in the past but nothing serious. I think this relationship will go a long way. Tonite I am taking her out to dinner and I want to get her something just to make her feel special and show her how much I care about her what should I do?

Well me and my current boyfriend have been through the same process. Friends for a long time and then a couple. And as for a gift, I remember he made me a card and bought be a teddybear. Perhaps, you can get her that. If not, buy her something she really likes. Maybe you can write her a poem or sing her a song. Girls always like that.

You've known her for five years? Surely you know some little detail about her. Get a bouquet of her favorite flowers [in her favorite color, of course!], and have them waiting for her on the seat in the car. Write a letter or poem- normally I'd say not to on a first date, but since you've known her for five years it's a different situation. Something small, but cute, is a romantic gesture.

If she's ever said anything like, "I love that shirt on you!" or commented about a certain cologne, use them. She may or may not say anything, but chances are good that she'll notice.

Judging by your question, you both have a good connection. You don't have to try and impress her, just be yourself and that's the best impression of all. After all, being yourself is what she likes about you! =]

Have fun on your date[s] together!
