To make eyes appear larger, but still make it look completely natural, you really shouldn't rim your entire eye with eyeliner like a lot of teens are doing now. I have a friend that does this and, really, it makes her look like trailer trash. Believe it or not, it makes them look smaller with a bit bunch of black gunk around them.
I have brown eyes as well and when I wear make-up I tend to follow this site's advice (which I just found, but it pretty much explains what I do):
When you apply the light shade make sure to go from the inside of your lid and then slightly outward. A shimmery cream (nothing big, bright, and unnatural) is good for this because it will catch the light. I like to dab a bit in the corner of the inside of my eyes.
I've read that most Hispanics have an olive or even yellowish undertone.
Most of what I'm reading for olive skin tone and brown eyes is that the eye shimmers look best. Like, the shimmer nude colors or even goldish shimmers.
Also, a very soft green (not bright and use a little amount), soft pink, and even amber.

i have dark skin, so i always have a hard time mixing it up! try PURPLE liner above your eyes, looks great and really pops!
silver, gold/sheer always looks great during the day.
my own routine: powder foundation (cover-girl), black mascarea (maybelline) black eye liner (ny) silver eye liner right underneith my eye, then color to match my shirt on the top.
