Ok...
I get really bad cramps, and I hate having my period...Its gross and I hate it!!! So I want to go on the BCP, you know, have like have it go away, but I am only 14, and I think I am to young...and how would I bring this up with my mother? And I also think that I am moderately depressed, will this make a difference? And I don't know f this is relevant, but I am extremely active, track and I have 2 horses....so yea any advic is welcomed <3

you are old enough for birth control. No
worries about that.
They do help reduce cramps and if you
want to try them talk to mom. I will
give a search with a lot of sites on
the subject at the end. They actually
help with a lot of things. Do some
research and then go over some of it
with your mom. Explain to her you
have been having severe cramps and
had heard the BCP worked. You looked
it up and here is what you have found.
Ask her what she thinks about it. Thats
all you need to do. It won't be nearly
as hard as you imagine it will.
All teens go through some depression.
It comes and goes and is normal. If
you are depressed for months and it
just doesn't go away at all, see a
doctor. Anything else is normal. It
should not make a difference as far
as going on the pill in concerned. :)
