i agree that once you get your period, your old enough for birth control. for the whole depression thing you have to tell your doctor about that because my friend had one type of birth control which did mess up her emotions and she became depressed along with some other weird symptoms so they switched her prescription to yaz and its been a lot better so just make sure you communicate with your doctor

If you are old enough to have your period,
you are old enough for birth control. No
worries about that.

They do help reduce cramps and if you
want to try them talk to mom. I will
give a search with a lot of sites on
the subject at the end. They actually
help with a lot of things. Do some
research and then go over some of it
with your mom. Explain to her you
have been having severe cramps and
had heard the BCP worked. You looked
it up and here is what you have found.
Ask her what she thinks about it. Thats
all you need to do. It won't be nearly
as hard as you imagine it will.

All teens go through some depression.
It comes and goes and is normal. If
you are depressed for months and it
just doesn't go away at all, see a
doctor. Anything else is normal. It
should not make a difference as far
as going on the pill in concerned. :)

Exercise is good for cramps. Keep it
up.

Here is your search.
