Getting Closer

Question Posted Friday February 22 2008, 5:45 pm

What's the best way to get closer to someone? I've observed some people, and I noticed that they're really close to the people they hang out with, almost like family. Do I have to be more open with them, or more physical, or what? I feel like my friends don't really love me (in a frendship kind of way), they just like me. How do I get people to feel close to me? Thanks

My dear friend,
First of all, I'm sorry its taken me so long to reply. Internet connection problems.
Anyway, you answered your own question: be more open. It will help people see you as a person instead of just a classmate. However, it's a balancing act. Too much personal information at one time may scare people away. Also, ask people about themselves to show you are interested in expanding the relationship.
Hope that helps!
-Linda
