I'm a new christian for like 2 1/2 months now, and i need/want a new book to read that talks about god and how to become more like him, do you have any good books i could read? i'm 24, female by the way. thanks. jennifer
Ignatz answered Friday February 22 2008, 4:38 pm: There's a whole bunch, by some really good authors. C.S. Lewis' "Mere Christianity" is a classic, as is his "Screwtape Letters". Also check out Robert Farrar Capon (I personally recommend "Supper of the Lamb"), Madeline l'Engle's Crosswicks Journals (most of her fiction has religious themes as well), Fr. Matthew Fox's "Original Blessing" and "Meditations with Meister Eckhart", St. Teresa of Avila's "Interior Palace", St. John of the Cross' mystical poems "Spiritual Canticle" and "Dark Night of the Soul", Julian of Norwich's "Sixteen Revelations of Divine Love", Amy-Jill Levine's "The Misunderstood Jew"... on and on and on.

Ok so first of all I dont think that you can become more like God but the best thing you can do is just obey him. Let me start off with my favorite "The Bible," "Jesus the greatest of all," or even "90 minutes in heaven a true story of death and life." If you want more then you can go to Christianbook.com.
