hurts to pee

Question Posted Thursday February 21 2008, 5:22 pm

so me and my bf had sex for the first time a week ago. a day after, it hurt to pee. really really bad...and i kinda ignored it. so then a couple days later, we had sex again. its been a few days since then, it it still kills to pee.
i looked up this problem and it just says i probably have an infection.
but i cant go to the doctor and have my mom and dad find out i've been having sex.

so anything i can do for myself to make it better?
or a way to get help without my mom or dad finding out???

please
16/f

It depends on how it hurts. I had the same problem. After sex I had really bad pain in one area. It seemed like it was an open sore or something. I went to a gyno and she said that it was caused by a yeast infection and a bacteria infection. It could be either of those or a bladder infection.

You probably have a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection).

It is NOT as bad as it sounds.

Take a look at that page.

Near the bottom, it says that you can take ibuprofen to help the UTI go away.

If that doesn't work, then you will have to get antibiotics, which can only be prescribed by your doctor. You can get a UTI in other ways, not only sex.

Don't worry, and read the information that website.
