Red and Black = bold and sexy
Red and White = cheery and fun
Red and Tan/Beige = sophisticated
Red and Khaki = casual, outdoorsy/safari look
Red and Navy = preppy, conservative
In my opinion, these combinations aren't as great, although I'm sure they could work in certain situations:

Uhhh..
some people like purple, yellow, and green, but i don't really like those!
Also, if you want it to look a little summery and fun, add orange! It may look wierd at first, but I LOVE orange and red together!

That's a bit of a broad question. It depends on what you're wearing, or doing, but I think black and gray go well with red.
