what does it mean when someone tells you to turn on the ignition without starting the engine ? so you just turn the key two little knotch things but before you turn the engine over ?
Some mechanics want you to that when they
are running diagnostics tests on the car
to check for problems or listen for fuel
pump noises. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]

aidenisfire answered Saturday February 16 2008, 7:27 pm: how many notches you have to turn depends on the car, but yes you turn the key only until the car ignition turns on (like the radio, ac, etc), not the actual engine. [ aidenisfire's advice column | Ask aidenisfire A Question ]
