The brand I trust for both straighters and curling irons, is Conair. In the shower, condition your hair. Afterwards don't blow dry it; it will look more natural if you let it air dry before straightening. Blow drying beforehand is even more heat on your hair, which causes more damage and increases frizz.

400F means 400 degrees F

250C means 250 degrees Celsius
400F means 400 degrees Fahrenheit

Put some heat resistant serum or spray in your hair before you straighten
Try to use the lowest heat setting possible to keep your hair nice and shiny. If your straighten at really high temperatures, your hair will-quite literally- die within a couple of months.
Also in the shower try using shampoo that is frizz relaxing.

Hope this helped! :D
