He wrote the song while he was taking lots of drugs, specifically X. In my opinion, he was crying out for help.

My Lawd, Lil Wayne is one of my most favorite people on this planet.
In this song, I'm pretty sure how he's talking about how drugs are wonderful once you're on them, but afterwards you pay the price.

Xanax calms you down. All of the violets are blue, roses are red, daisies are yellow, part-- well, when you're on certain drugs, colors just seem soo intense, you know? The song is pretty simple. He loves being high but hates it when its over, and hates it when he can't get his hands on more. :]
