whats it like when you get tested for STD's? do they draw blood? Will my parents be notified?

If you are of the female variety, then yes, you can get tested through pelvic exam.
So far as I know, HIV/AIDS is a blood test.

If they told your parents, that would be breaching doctor/patient confidentiality.

girls they put in object into the vagina and open it so they can see the cervix then they take a swab sample and look under a microscope.

boys im not so sure about.

and no your parents will not be notified
