how can you make your jeans look old but still wearable?

sprinkle them with bleach or paint (in a bathroom or some place with things that wont stain. wear old clothes and use a tarp or newspaper), and use a steak knife or any knife with a serated edge to give them a distressed look.

Maybe trim a couple of little holes, and tear them yourself, there is certain ways you can bleach them to make them look oldish.
