about a month ago i started going to the gym 3 days a week. i have a personal trainer who works my butt out. i finished a month, 3 times a week, 1/2 hour each session. and now i started 1 hour sessions. its a personalized program including weights cardio and "freestyle" exercises as my trainer calls it.
i want to loose weight but i don't know how to eat right :s let alone how much calories i should take a day. i usually eat whatever my mum cooks so i never know how much calorie is in it (she makes exotic stuff like turkish food or east europian, aside from the common italian, french, swiss etc...)
i need to loose about 20 pounds.... where do i begin and what do i eat.
if it helps i am a college student who eats stuff from the convenience store on campus and one meal wen i visit mum at home each day. i can't aford to stock up my fridge with food and stuff so my diet is usually on the go.
thanks!

Rosie2000 answered Sunday February 3 2008, 2:53 pm: what i would suggest is sizes. when your mom cooks food and your real hungry when you get home eat like a fist size of the main meal (for example mashed potatoes and chicken) make sure you eat enough veggies and fruits. grab some on the go. and make sure you drink enough water. eat protein! get some nuts or peanutbutter and some so salt crackers for when your in a rush to class or seomthing. Protein keeps you filled for long periods of time, better than sugar and other carbs. but make sure you eat good protein like low fat milk, nuts, and beans. eating a small brekafast with enough protein in it and not bunches of sugar or salt would be best it kick starts your metabalism.. i hope that helps.
