i think you should try track. i dance and do track and i love it.
personally i don't want to even try xc because i'm not a long distance runner at all, but hey you might be. track is fun because there are a bunch of different events you can do, it's not all running.
like there's the field stuff and hurdles and long jump. give it a try, you might like it :]

Well, I do dance, basketball, volleyball and cheerleading, and by far my favorite is cheerleading. Not cheerleading for like a school team, but all-star competitive cheer. I go to Kansas City Athletic Cheer (www.kcaccheer.com) so you could join something like that. You get such a rush from all the tumbling, stunting, motions, AND dance! It's like a bunch of things put together. It is wayyy worth it, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Definitely consider trying tennis. It is amazingly fun, especially compared to cross country and track (both of which I have done). I am immensely better at running than tennis--I have only started playing around a month--but tennis is way worth it. :)

If you’re in high school, I’ve always found theater to be a terrific activity. If your school does a musical why not join in? It incorporates a bit of dance and is great fun. Plus, you’ll make a few good friends in the process. How can you go wrong? =D
