Rosie2000 answered Saturday February 2 2008, 7:42 pm: There are TONS of things you can do. get your school to have blue recyceling bins for plastic and metal. collect plastic bags that you have and take them to a local grocery store theres usually a bin (close to the doors.. and probably hidden) they compact them and im not sure if they use them or can melt them or what.. but i know they recyle them some way. this is going to sound gross but my school has a big bin in the lunch room that looks like trash.. but it says for food. its your food scraps and your milk cartins and stuff. alot of plastic is made from corn so its easy to recyle. get them to put paper towel bins int he bathrooms!.. the best way to help out is making things AVALIBLE!.. save up some money and go out to the dollar store even or home depot and get some energy saving light bulbs.. although its alot of money you can set up solar pannels for your house. look into this stuff! i hope that was enough ideas [ Rosie2000's advice column | Ask Rosie2000 A Question ]
So Sorry, I can get a little carried away with this subject, if anything, I have given you a weeks, at least, worth of reading material. A few ideas to throw at you would be this: recycle (paper, glass, cans, and anything else that can be), using vehicles less, stop using anything styrofoam, and don't use anything that comes out of a aerosol can. Good Luck, and would love to help more if I can. [ AngelofMercy's advice column | Ask AngelofMercy A Question ]
