You need to set it equal. 5/2 equals x/6. Then you need to cross multiply, so do 5 times 6 equals 2 times x. That would give you 30 = 2x. Divide both sides by two, and you get x = 15. You could buy 15 pencils. ]
Okay 5 pencils equals 2 dollars. 2 X 3 = 6. Divide 6 by 2. Then add the answer like this;
What is 5+5+5 =?
I am pretty sure that this is how you do it. ]
