I got mine at the beginning of summer. I was on the couch resting for about a week. If you don't rest properly and go out with your friends, you can get them sick and you can possibly relapse. It's rare for you to get it fully again though. It kind of follows the same rules as chicken pox, however, it is not impossible. Usually what happens is if you don't rest, you'll have it longer and won't recover fully for a longer period of time. I still have symptoms and mine started in June. My advice would be to keep seeing your family doctor and rest as much as you can. It's better to just wait it out, rest and sleep as much as possible, and then recover quicker. You shouldn't be focusing on your social life when health comes first. If you have any more questions, google has a lot of sites about Mono.
