getting birth control when you're under 18

Question Posted Sunday January 27 2008, 12:16 pm

The other night me and my boyfriend had sex. I'm not on birth control pills or anything, and we used a condom. The condom broke, and the next day I had to go get the morning after pill. If I tell my mom that I've had sex, she might kill me, or just start being really really overprotective, which I don't want. Basically, I'd just like to know if there's anyway I could get birth control without my mom knowing?

your local health department should give you free birth control. im 16 and i went to get the morning after pill and when the nurse was questioning me they asked if i needed condoms or if i wanted to get birth control and just tell them you want to keep your visit private and they shouldnt send mail or call your house.

hope that helps some.

Planned Parenthood. No legitimate health clinic can or will tell your mother.

Go to your local free health clinic or planned parenthood. You cannot buy birth control at a walgreens or go to the doctor alone if you are under 18 so this is your best bet. good luck <3
