i need things to sell

Question Posted Friday January 25 2008, 3:19 pm

there is a girl in my school who makes these totes and sells them and they sell pretty well. but, i was thinking of selling something because i really need the money. but, i can't think of anything. i don't wanna make jewelry because that wouldn't sell so well. I want to sell something more original, but what? keychains,? like really pretty keychains with crystals.... but how would i go around promoting them?? Because if I make flyers or something and pass them around, it will look too desperate. I want it to look elegant.

any help is appreciated
thank you

You can also sell things online on eBay or on a Livejournal or website of your own making to reach a wider audience. Word of mouth is your best bet. You can also do custom orders for more money! :) Don't forget you can take your old stuff and transform them into something new! If you can sew, you can make clothes too! Get old clothes from a secondhand shop and remake them to be hella awesome. Hats, scarves, etc..

Here are some ideas to get you started:
- Soda tab chain necklaces
- Boondoggles (like in Napoleon Dynamite), cell phone chains, friendship bracelets, necklaces, earrings, keychains (anything, even jewelry, will sell well if they are good): example: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) can be attached to a cute rainbow necklace, etc (just be creative)
- Sell own artwork
- Wallet or things made out of duct-tape
- Cellphone holders
- You can also make purses but different ones. Like purses made out of jeans or coffin purses (look them up) or juice pouches/drink labels! See: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) and [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Have your friends & people who may not be your close friends advertise it for you. By this I mean, they can wear it & if people like that item it'll catch their eye and they'll ask where they got it from.
