ok so i am getting a new phone from alltel but they dont cary it any more so i have to get it from ebay. how do i do that, like does my mom put in her credit card or w/e...and if there if more than 1 bid does the auctioner like just pick the highest bid??? I just don't understand any of it

Yes, if your Mom doesn't have an eBay account already, she will most likely have to create one [for free], and enter her credit card/PayPal information so that the transactions can go through.

The auctioneer will pick the highest bid out of all of total bids.

So let's say that I'm auctioning off an... iPod, for example.

Bidder 1: $150
Bidder 2: $155
Bidder 1: $159
** AUCTION ENDED **

Bidder 1 would win the auction. If an item is really popular, most likely it will start at 99 cents and work it's way up..
