Drinking

Question Posted Saturday January 19 2008, 11:31 am

Okay hey yall! I am 16/f. Tommarow night I am going to my friends house with a few other girls. All girls! Only like 5. We are planning on having some fun and drinking some alocohol like way later in the night. Ive never been drunk or buzzed before ive only had sips of alocohol. I want to do this! Im not asking if I should or not..so please dont get confused. But my questions are..How much should I drink if i dont want to get FULLY drunk? Will I throw up after 2 or 1 1/2 beers? Would i get a bad hang over sunday if i only get buzzed? I only want to get buzzed so how much should i drink? -If its just beer and vodka? Im not gonna drink more then sips of vodka ofcourse. I just really do not want to throw up..or feel sick the next day. Thankyou!!

It is very difficult to give you a straight answer because it all depends on how you are built, what you drink and if you intend to have something to eat.

If you are small in build then it doesn't take much alcohol to affect you, if you are bigger then it will take more. If you have eaten a lot then the alcohol will take longer to absorb into your system.

I suggest that you start off with a small amount of spirit and some beer. Too many spirit drinks will certainly have you throwing up everywhere. Once you start to feel a little 'out of yourself' that is the time to stop drinking alcohol.

Just one word of warning - never get so drunk, especially in mixed company, that you cannot defend yourself. Your parents won't like it either if you go home inebriated. Have fun but take care.

Well, just to start, i really want you to know i advise you not to drink, but since you made it clear that will never happen:
~start out with one and see how you feel
~yes, you will mostlikely upchuck...if you get carried away
~everyone is different, depending on your size, age, weight, and possibly height, as to how much to be able to drink.
I want to just remind you, that this is very serious, and you CAN get serious alcohol poisining and have to go to the hospital...you could even die.
Vodka is VERY VERY strong,i will be honest, i have only taken a few sips of alcohol from my parents drinks in my whole life, so i am not very educated with this topic.
But i do know that vodka is strong, and i STRONGLY advize you to be careful, and not to drive home. If you feel sick, or pass out, or something goes seriously wrong, do not hesitate to go to the hospital, do not try to hide it, you must tell an adult.
Go easy, this IS your first time...If you do not know how you are going to react, i suggest you take it slow.
Do not do ANYTHING you do not want to, and PLEASE do not give into the pressure of your friends to drink more...especially if you dont want to
GoOd LuCk!!!
