I really want to learn how to play an instrument. I use to play the piano but I stopped and forgot everything. I made that mistake and I want to play an instrument again. I'm in 8th grade and 13 years old. What kind of instrument would be good for me? Can you give me some idea's? And what kind of instrument you play and enjoy? Thanks a lot.

AquamarineRose answered Sunday January 13 2008, 8:43 pm: I would definitely pick the piano back up. (Not literally. :-)) The piano can help you play any instrument though. It's like the basis for all. I enrolled in a music theory class this year, finally, and the piano really helps you with pitches, ear training, scales, EVERYTHING. And really piano players are really hard to come by these days, it seems to be a dying instrument.
I play guitar when I find time here and there, really though, stringed instruments are not for everyone. Find the right instrument for you, because it sounds like you really are interested in music and want to play something. So have fun, experiment. Try a mandolin or a bass, perhaps a trumpet? Pianos also create and give off beautiful sounds, and all you have to do is move your hands, fingers, and occasionally feet without puffing into an instrument like the flute :]

Keep practicing and don't forget F-A-C-E and E-G-B-D-F LOL [ ChevyIINova's advice column | Ask ChevyIINova A Question ]
