If I wanted to erase my internet history completely, how would I do that? Not just from going under history then delete, but totally erasing it from the memory of computer.
ChevyIINova answered Sunday January 13 2008, 1:01 am: It'll cost you a bit but when I was in college we used two products one called Cybercide and the other called Cyberscrub. Truly remarkable products. I am sure they offer a trail version too. Read for yourself on how secure these products are. As far as that goes anything you want to get rid of, say you are selling your old PC and have bank account information on the hard drive and you deleted it but are worried someone might access that "deleted" information via software or recovery tools, I highly recommend Cyberscrub and Cybercide. Yes, I used it in college when I was a student worker and I tried myself to access deleted information via software recovery and wasn't able to access anything that was deleted by Cyberscrub. The maximum default setting beyond the DoD standard is the "Guttman."
Cybercide is used for when you are throwing out or selling the hard drive and want to completely erase the drive. [ ChevyIINova's advice column | Ask ChevyIINova A Question ]
